【Signing Ceremony for the 20,000-Tonne Battery Recycling Project in Huyang, Fujian】According to SMM, on the afternoon of November 1st, during the centralized signing ceremony for the first batch of investment attraction projects in Shanghang County, Huyang Town successfully signed a lithium-ion battery new material project—a retired power lithium battery recycling and reuse project—with Fujian Fangda Technology Co., Ltd. The project has a total investment of RMB 250 million, with a planned land area of approximately 50 mu (approx. 33,333 square meters) and a total construction area of about 30,000 square meters. It will involve the construction of new office buildings, production workshops, roads, landscaping, and other facilities. It will also selectively purchase and introduce domestically leading production equipment, process equipment, and testing equipment for the disassembly, crushing, and sorting production line of retired lithium battery cells.
Upon completion, the project will be capable of annually processing 20,000 tonnes of retired lithium batteries, 17,400 tonnes of lithium iron phosphate battery black powder and ternary battery black powder, as well as producing a series of products such as battery cases, waste plastic outer packaging, terminal posts, copper foil, aluminum foil, and more.
