According to SMM data, there has been little change in the focus of copper prices this week, with only a slight downward shift. Traders of recycled copper at Linyi Metal City stated that procuring recycled copper has been challenging this week, primarily due to frequent and brief drops in copper prices. Holders of recycled copper are adopting a wait-and-see attitude, leading to a noticeable decline in recycled copper procurement at Linyi Metal City compared to the previous week. From the consumption perspective, despite the intensifying competition and narrower profit margins in the recycled copper sector, many manufacturers have prioritized the production of anode plates when purchasing recycled copper raw materials to cope with tight supplies. Overall, the situation with recycled copper remains tight, and procurement difficulties have resulted in a decline in recycled copper throughput this week.
