Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 23, autonomous driving solution developer Pony.ai signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Luxembourg’s leading mobility provider, Emile Weber, to collaborate on the development and deployment of autonomous driving vehicle and technology in the country.
In September this year, Pony.ai established its European R&D center in Luxembourg, focusing on cutting-edge autonomous driving R&D and tailored solutions for the European market. This partnership aims to promote the rollout of the company’s autonomous driving technology and products throughout Luxembourg and Europe, following the company’s MoU signed with the Luxembourg government in March 2024.
Emile Weber, with over 150 years of operational history, is a major player in Luxembourg's mobility sector, offering public and private transportation, taxi services, vehicle rentals, and tourism services. Both companies agree that autonomous driving will play a crucial role in Luxembourg’s future transportation ecosystem.
Pony.ai currently operates R&D centers in China, the U.S., and Europe. As its L4 autonomous driving technology, Robotaxi, and Robotruck business models mature, the company is accelerating its international expansion. Beyond Luxembourg, Pony.ai has initiated autonomous driving collaborations in countries such as South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
