Zinc Ingot Inventories Rise in SMM's Seven Regions, Signaling Domestic Stock Build-up

[SMM Data] SMM News on October 17: According to SMM research, as of this Thursday (October 17), the total inventory of zinc ingots in SMM's seven regions reached 121,800 tonnes, an increase of 8,700 tonnes from October 10 and 2,700 tonnes from October 14, indicating an increase in domestic inventory. Among them, the inventory in Shanghai increased significantly due to the large number of arrivals at warehouses during the week, coupled with rigid downstream procurement demands; the inventory in Guangdong also increased as a result of the high number of arrivals at warehouses during the week, and the high zinc prices dampened downstream demand, leading to a continued accumulation of inventory; the inventory in Tianjin decreased mainly because a higher proportion of shipments were made by factories during the week, while the arrival of goods at warehouses did not improve, resulting in a continued decline in inventory. Overall, the inventory in the original three regions increased by 3,200 tonnes, and the inventory in the seven regions increased by 2,700 tonnes.
