Iron Ore Futures Fluctuate but Close Higher, Boosted by Strong Demand Amid Production Rebound

Today, iron ore futures first weakened before strengthening, with a volatile trading day throughout. The main contract I2501 finally closed at 789, up 1.15% for the day. Traders actively shipped out goods, while steel mills made purchases in small volumes and multiple times as needed. The trading atmosphere in the market today was fairly good. Transaction prices were around 775-785 yuan/ton, up 10-15 yuan/ton from yesterday; with the recent rebound in molten iron production, iron ore demand still has room for growth, supporting the ore price. Attention should be paid to whether there will be any significant policies introduced at the important meeting tomorrow and whether the growth in terminal demand can be sustained. .........
