Five Companies Make the Cut for Datang's 4GWh Energy Storage System Centralized Procurement!] On September 20, China Datang Group announced the successful candidates for its 2024-2025 lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage system bidding. Ultimately, five enterprises—CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, HiPower, Envision AESC, Pinggao Energy Storage, and Hichen Energy Storage—were selected. The highest bid came from Hichen Energy Storage at 0.511 yuan/Wh, while the lowest was from Pinggao Energy Storage at 0.5 yuan/Wh.

It is understood that this framework procurement covers energy storage systems and shared energy storage systems configured for new energy wind power and photovoltaic projects under China Datang Group Corporation Limited, with an estimated total procurement capacity of 4GWh, comprising 2GWh of 0.5c and 0.25c energy storage systems each.
