SMM: Robust Overseas Demand Fuels Grain-Oriented Silicon Steel Price Hikes at Baoshan Iron & Steel

[SMM Highlight: Robust Overseas Demand Drives Continued Strength in Grain-Oriented Silicon Steel Prices] Overview: On September 10, Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. announced adjustments to its domestic sales prices for steel plates for October 2024, based on the prices in September 2024 (all prices mentioned below are exclusive of tax, unless otherwise specified): 1. The base price for non-oriented silicon steel remains unchanged. 2. The base price for grain-oriented silicon steel B18R060 is increased by RMB 1,000/tonne, while B20R065/20RK065 and B23R070/23RK070 are increased by RMB 500/tonne. Additionally, B20R070/20RK070, B23R075/23RK075, B27R080/27RK080, and B27R085/27RK085 see an increase of RMB 300/tonne in their base prices. Other base prices are increased by RMB 100/tonne. Among Baosteel's pricing policies, all prices except for those of grain-oriented silicon steel are offered flat.
