Executive Co-Chairmen Robert Friedland and Weibao Hao, along with President Marna Cloete, of Ivanhoe Mines (TSX: IVN; OTCQX: IVPAF) announced today that the Kamoa-Kakula copper mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC, or "DRC") processed a total of 1.1 million tonnes of ore in August across its Phases 1, 2, and 3 processing plants, resulting in a record-breaking 40,000 tonnes of copper production.
On August 31, the Kamoa-Kakula Phases 1, 2, and 3 processing plants achieved a record-high daily copper production of 2,096 tonnes collectively, including a record output of 1,760 tonnes of copper from Phases 1 and 2 processing plants.
