A Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe (MMCZ) registou 18 casos de suspeita de contrabando de minerais e movimentação irregular de minerais entre janeiro e 20 de agosto de 2026, abrangendo um total combinado de 2.654,88 toneladas de material mineral e sucata metálica. Os minerais críticos tornaram-se um foco particular dos esforços de vigilância da corporação, em conformidade com a política governamental de beneficiação e controlos mais rigorosos sobre as exportações de minerais não processados.
