[The Largest Solid-State Battery Project in China] The Qingtao Kunshan solid-state lithium cell industrialisation project, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan, is set to commence production in June. It is reported that this project is currently the largest solid-state lithium cell mass production project in China and one of the leading solid-state lithium cell mass production projects globally. Upon reaching full production, the annual installed capacity will reach 10 billion watt-hours, with the first phase having an annual installed capacity of 3.5 billion watt-hours. Qingtao Energy is a leader in the industrialisation of solid-state lithium cells in China, having established the country's first solid-state lithium cell production line and being one of the earliest companies to achieve mass production and delivery of solid-state batteries.

GAC Affiliate Targets GWh-Scale Production of Solid-State Batteries by End-2026

According to Interesting Engineering, Greater Bay Technology, an advanced technology subsidiary of GAC Group, announced on April 15 (local time) that it has completed production of A-sample (early prototype) cells for fully solid-state batteries with an energy density of 260–500 Wh/kg. The company plans to begin GWh-scale mass production by the end of 2026.
