The First Intelligent Lithium-ion Cell Recycling Factory in China Is Located in Zhengzhou Province

Recently, in the Gangdong Auto Parts Industrial Park located in Daying Town, Zhengzhou Airport Economy Comprehensive Experimental Zone, Jereh Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jereh Co., Ltd., one of China's top 100 enterprises, officially signed an agreement to establish a lithium-ion battery recycling project with an investment of 1.03 billion yuan. As a key project introduced by the Henan provincial government, this project will be developed into the first benchmark demonstration factory in the domestic lithium-ion battery recycling field.

The project will be constructed in three phases. The first phase will involve an investment of approximately 120 million yuan, with a plant area of 8,000 square meters, including one crushing and grinding production line, one dismantling equipment line, and one automated warehouse system. Upon completion, it will form the first intelligent lithium-ion battery recycling factory in the country, with a processing capacity of 10,000 mt/year. The second phase is expected to invest 340 million yuan to continue building the lithium-ion battery scrap processing line, increasing the processing capacity to 50,000 mt/year. The third phase is expected to invest 570 million yuan to further expand the lithium-ion battery scrap processing line, bringing the total processing capacity to 100,000 mt/year, and expand the hydrometallurgy project based on material growth.
