Market shipments in Shanghai zinc market increased and trading cooled down

Mainstream traded prices of #0 zinc were 23190~23380 yuan/mt today, with 23300~23480 yuan/mt for Shuangyan zinc, and 23120~23310 yuan/mt for #1 zinc. In the morning, the premiums were -10-10 yuan/mt over the average SMM price, and discounts were 70~90 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2406 zinc contract. During the second trading session, regular domestic brands were quoted with discounts of 80~90 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2406 zinc contract. Shuangyan zinc was quoted with premiums 20 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2406 contract. Zinc prices rose today, and market shipments increased significantly. Purchases decreased as downstream companies were more cautious about high prices, and overall transactions declined.
