Social inventories of zinc ingots across seven major markets in China

SMM data shows that social inventories of zinc ingots across seven major markets in China totalled 212,800 mt as of Thursday April 25, down 4,900 mt from April 18 and down 8,100 mt from April 22. Inventories in Shanghai and Tianjin decreased slightly. Warehouses in Shanghai and Tianjin received normal cargoes during the week. As the Labour Day holiday approached, downstream companies took delivery of more cargoes, resulting in a decrease in warehouse inventories. Inventories in Guangdong decreased. Some smelters were under maintenance and fewer cargoes arrived at warehouses during the week. Meanwhile, downstream companies took delivery of cargoes. Inventories in Shanghai, Guangdong and Tianjin fell 5,700 mt.
