On Jan 29th, SMM confirmed that many polysilicon firms have signed monthly orders and one of them has inked deal at 72 yuan/kg, up from previous mainstream market prices.

SMM notes that this round of monthly orders has a volume of more than 10,000 mt. Prices of sporadic orders 73-75 yuan/kg over the past couple of weeks. After last Friday's big-scale order signing, other silicon wafer plants also aligned their contract prices.
Polysilicon market sees a true, universal price hike!
Before, the photovoltaic market was weaker. Now, a real shortage of high-quality polysilicon drives prices up. SMM reports that N-type material makes up 40%-70% in companies, with top N-type, like granular silicon, in low supply, bolstering the price rise.
With the Spring Festival nearing, downstream firms rush to stock up, creating urgency to buy. Polysilicon producers, in a stronger bargaining position, have helped push prices up.
Before this, two weeks of high-priced spot orders lifted market sentiment.
As of Feb 2, SMM notes 3-4 silicon wafer plants have signed some orders, with signings on the 28th evening showing stable prices, fixing the mainstream contract price at 72 yuan/kg this month.

[SMM PV Flash] Elgin Acquires a 200 MW Late-Stage Solar Project in Ireland
Elgin has completed the acquisition of the approximately 200 MW Blackhall solar project in County Meath, Ireland, from GP Joule, with financial terms undisclosed. The project is consented, has grid-connection arrangements in place and is expected to participate in Ireland's next Renewable Electricity Support Scheme auction. Elgin estimates total development and construction investment at around €200 million, with the asset positioned to move toward construction once revenue support and remaining project conditions are secured.

[SMM PV Flash] Dubai's 950 MW Noor Energy 1 Project Completes $2.7 Billion Refinancing
The 950 MW Noor Energy 1 hybrid CSP-PV project in Dubai has completed a $2.7 billion refinancing ahead of schedule, marking its first refinancing since reaching full commercial operation. The complex combines parabolic-trough and tower-based concentrated solar power with photovoltaic capacity and up to 15 hours of thermal storage, allowing generation to continue after sunset. The transaction is expected to lower funding costs and optimise the project's long-term capital structure, illustrating how operating large-scale solar and storage assets can recycle capital through refinancing.

[SMM PV Flash] Lodestone Energy Targets NZD 75–100 Million in New Zealand IPO
New Zealand solar developer and operator Lodestone Energy plans to raise NZD 75 million to NZD 100 million in an IPO on the NZX at NZD 2.25 per share, with all proceeds going to the company and no existing shareholders selling stock. The offer opens on September 29, closes on October 14 and is expected to begin trading on October 22, implying a post-listing market capitalisation of approximately NZD 440–465 million. Lodestone currently operates five utility-scale solar farms with a sixth under construction and intends to use the proceeds for new projects, customer growth and general corporate purposes, targeting 16–18 operating sites by FY2032.
