Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese LiDAR maker Hesai Technology announced on Tuesday an unprecedented achievement that its monthly LiDAR delivery volume exceeded 50,000 units in December 2023, establishing itself as the first company in the automotive LiDAR industry to realize this figure.
Having surpassed the 100,000-unit cumulative delivery milestone, Hesai's LiDAR has undergone over a year of rigorous real-world user validation. The leap between "delivering 100,000 LiDAR units to clients" and "100,000 units in constant use on vehicles for over a year" is substantial, said Hesai.
In September 2022, Hesai successfully delivered over 10,000 LiDAR units in a single month, becoming the first company to achieve this feat in the automotive LiDAR domain. By December of the same year, Hesai completed the delivery of its 100,000th LiDAR unit, securing the crown as the annual champion in global LiDAR mass production. A year later, Hesai saw its cumulative LiDAR delivery surpass 300,000 units.
