Spot Transactions In Shanghai Zinc Market Were Sluggish Amid High Zinc Prices

Mainstream traded prices of #0 zinc were 21660~21750 yuan/mt today, with 21760~21850 yuan/mt for Shuangyan zinc, and 21590~21680 yuan/mt for #1 zinc. In the morning, spot discounts were 10 ~ 20 yuan/mt over the average SMM zinc price.

During the second trading session, regular domestic brands were quoted with premiums of 60 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2312 zinc contract. Shuangyan zinc was quoted with premiums of 150~160 yuan/mt over the contract. Zinc prices were running at a high level today, and downstream companies were cautious in purchasing. The premiums continued to fall, and the overall transaction volume was poor.
