Meteoric Resources has announced for the first time its resources at the Caldeira rare earth deposit in Brazil. At present, the ore resource of this deposit is 409 million mt, and the grade of rare earth oxide is 0.2626%. The deposit is characterised by a high content of rare earth oxides in magnets, a shallow burial, etc. Caldeira is considered to be "the highest-grade ion-adsorption rare earth deposit in the world" and is a world-class rare earth mine. In the second half of this year, the project will conduct a general study and a feasibility evaluation. The project has attracted a lot of attention from investors.
For instance, Lynas recently stated that it intended to explore and develop ion-adsorption rare earth deposits, and would pay attention to the Caldeira rare earth mine.
