London Metal Exchange (LME) data showed that after rising to a nearly two-month high of 573,575 mt on April 19, LME aluminum inventories began to fall. LME aluminum inventories continued to fall last week, with the latest level at 561,925 mt.
Data released by the SHFE showed that SHFE aluminum inventories continued to fall last week, marking the seventh straight week of decline. SHFE aluminum inventories dropped 3.36% on a weekly basis to 227,891 mt in the week ended May 5, the lowest level in three months.
