According SMM survey, as of April 7, the in-plant inventory of deliverable primary lead brands stood at 5,700 mt, up 2,000 mt from a week ago. According to the survey, the supply of primary lead last week rose steadily. Inventories at some smelters increased early last week as they refrained from selling.
In April, there are maintenance plans at large-scale primary lead refineries, and most of them are delivery brands. The monthly output is expected to drop by more than 10,000 mt month-on-month. Lead ingot supply should tighten and in-plant inventories are likely to stay low.
