SHANGHAI, Apr 10 (SMM) – In March, the capacity utilisation rates of mines in Henan fell slightly month-on-month, mainly because ROM shortages lowered the concentrate output of a private mine from normal level of 50,000 mt to merely 30,000 mt. As its new ore body is still in rock stripping stage, this mine’s concentrate production is unlikely to see a significant increase in the short term.
State-owned mines are basically running at full capacity, while insufficient ROM supply will constrain concentrate production of private mines, thus the capacity utilisation rates of mines in Henan will hardly see a significant pick-up in April.
