SHFE, Mar 22 - The most active May copper contract on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange (INE) closed at 60,460 yuan/mt, an increase of 630 yuan/mt, or 1.05%. Bears reduced positions to 11,154 lots, and trading volume stood at 8,058 lots.
On the macro front, the U.S. dollar index continued to fluctuate at lows; the U.S. Treasury Secretary promised to continue bailing out if the risks in the banking industry continued to deteriorate.
