Sales of Construction Machinery Declined in January

Sales of excavators in January fell short of expectations, with monthly sales of 10,443 units, a year-on-year decrease of 33%. In this regard, some manufacturers said that the data for the same period last year were not comparable due to earlier Chinese New Year holidays in 2023. This year, project investment in various places is increasing, and there is a time gap between customers winning the bid and ordering machinery and equipment.

After February, with the recovery of product sales driven by mines and infrastructure projects, it is expected that the month-on-month data will turn better, and the peak season for industry sales will begin in March.
