Planned HRC Output in Feb to Fall Slightly MoM

SHANGHAI, Feb 10 (SMM) - The 39 steel makers in China have planned to produce a total of 13.69 million mt of HRC (hot rolled coil) in February, down 3.81% or 0.54 million mt from the realised output in January, according to SMM survey.

On average, the number of days in February is 3 day less than that in January. The planned average daily output of commercial HRC in February is about 488,900 mt, an increase of 29,800 mt or 6.50% compared with the daily average of 459,100 mt in January.

North-east China: Planned output of hot-rolled coils and plates is 1.57 million mt, an increase of 44,000 mt or 2.89% MoM; the planned export volume is 112,000 mt, up 20,000 mt or 21.74% MoM;

North China: Planned output of hot-rolled coils and plates is 6.32 million mt, down 205,000 mt or 3.14% MoM; the planned export volume is 307,000 mt, up 174,000 mt or 130.83% MoM;

East China: Planned output of hot-rolled coils and plates is 2.91 million mt, down 39,000 mt or 1.32% MoM; the planned export volume is 416,000 mt, up 150,000 mt or 56.39% MoM;

Central China: Planned output of hot-rolled coils and plates is 1.07 million mt, down 40,000 mt or 3.60% MoM; the planned export volume is 40,000 mt, up 10,000 mt or 33.33% MoM;  

South China: Planned output of hot-rolled coils and plates is 0.96 million mt, down 300,000 mt or 23.81% MoM; there is no export plans this month;

South-west China: Planned output of hot-rolled coils and plates is 0.65 million mt, an increase of 23,000 mt or 3.67% MoM; there is no export plans this month;

North-west China: Planned output of hot-rolled coils and plates is 215,000 mt, down 25,000 mt or 10.42%; there is no export plans this month;
