01 giant grabs lithium ore resources
On July 30, Ningde Times signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the people's Government of Yichun City. According to the agreement, Ningde Times will build new lithium battery production and manufacturing bases and corresponding upstream materials production bases in Yichun Economic and technological Development Zone and relevant counties and cities, driving upstream and downstream industrial chain enterprises to settle in Yichun.
It is reported that the project may be the project with the largest total investment and the largest one-time fixed investment in Yichun City so far, and it is also the largest investment project in the high-tech new energy industry in Jiangxi Province. The project will greatly enhance the concentration and influence of Yichun new energy (lithium) industry, and inject strong impetus for Yichun to create a new highland of Asian lithium industry and Jiangxi to speed up the construction of a "strong industrial province".
Prior to this, in May, another lithium power leader, Guoxuan Hi-Tech, officially started construction of the new lithium energy project in Yichun, marking the full start of Guoxuan Hi-Tech's investment in Yichun. The project plans to invest 11.5 billion yuan and is divided into two phases. The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed and put into production by the end of 2022, and the second phase is scheduled to be completed and put into production by the end of 2025. After reaching the production standard, the annual output value is expected to be about 20 billion yuan.
Guoxuan Hi-Tech plans to achieve 100GWH power battery production capacity by 2025 and speed up the layout of the energy storage market, while Yichun has unique geographical advantages and abundant lithium ore resources. Through the layout of lithium ore resources upstream in advance, "the company will make every effort to build the production and R & D system from lithium ore resources and battery manufacturing to battery PACK and energy storage system, and create the layout of the whole industry chain of power batteries." Guoxuan Hi-Tech said.
According to battery China, Yichun City has the world's largest lithium mica mine "Yichun tantalum-niobium ore" (414 ore), equivalent to 2.713 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent. According to the data disclosed by the Yichun municipal government, the current lithium mica resource in Yichun is 6.29 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent, and with the deepening of exploration, the reserves are expected to further increase in the future.
Prior to this, Yichun SASAC wholly-owned Yichun Mining Company was established to carry out unified management of the city's mines and control nearly 20 lithium-bearing mines in Yichun through wholly-owned or shareholding. At present, the main enterprises using mica lithium extraction technology in Jiangxi Province are Yongxing Materials, Jiangte Motor, Feiyu New Energy and Nan's Lithium Power. At present, the total production capacity of lithium salt is 120000 tons.

The company plans to raise 410 million yuan for the solar cell backplane expansion project with an annual output of 30 million square meters and the aluminum-plastic film expansion project with an annual output of 10 million square meters of lithium battery. In July this year, Mingguan New Materials announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Mingguan Lithium Film, which is mainly engaged in lithium battery aluminum-plastic film, has increased its registered capital to 100 million yuan for the expansion of aluminum-plastic film project, with an annual production capacity of more than 20 million square meters.
It is understood that the biggest advantage of Mingguan aluminum-plastic film is its advanced production process and good product consistency. At present, there are two kinds of aluminum-plastic film production processes on the market: dry process and thermal process, the advantage of dry method is excellent deep drawing performance, but the electrolyte resistance is weak; the advantage of thermal method is good resistance to electrolyte and water resistance, but the deep drawing performance is relatively weak. Mingguan has created an original "dry-hot composite process" in the industry, which combines the advantages of the two methods, so it has obvious advantages in both shell-punching performance and electrolyte resistance.
At the end of last year, Jiangxi far East Battery successfully developed a large cylindrical-aluminum shell battery for International Automotive Electric. Through cooperation with well-known multinational automobile companies, the battery has now entered the pre-production testing stage. The battery can provide the car with a range of more than 500km at an energy density of 260Wh / kg, which is 1.5 times that of an ordinary electric vehicle, and can still be recharged normally even in extreme conditions of 60 degrees Celsius or minus 30 degrees Celsius. In July last year, Yichun Qingtao solid-state power lithium battery project (phase I) was officially put into production in Yichun Economic and technological Development Zone. The project, with a total investment of 5.5 billion yuan, will start construction in August 2019 to build an annual 10GWh solid-state power lithium battery production base. The first phase investment of 550 million yuan, covers an area of 100mu, construction area of 38000 square meters, annual production of 1GWh solid-state power lithium battery. The second phase is planned to invest 4.95 billion yuan, which will increase the solid-state power lithium battery production capacity 9GWh.
