Citic Securities Dianxin team said that the development of the energy storage industry has gradually entered the industrialization promotion stage, and it is expected that the relevant policy documents in the early stage of the 14th five-year Plan are expected to usher in intensive discussion and release to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.
Citic Securities also said that the rapid development of energy storage will accelerate the upgrading of new power systems, which have laid the foundation for the explosive growth of traditional energy storage methods such as new energy storage technologies and pumped storage in the next 5-10 years. In the past five years, the new installed capacity of electric energy storage in the world / China has been 21.1GW / 10.8GW respectively. From the perspective of structure, the proportion of cumulative installed capacity of pumped storage in the world / China has continued to decline to 90.9% and 90.5%, while the proportion of cumulative installed capacity in electrochemical energy storage has increased rapidly to 6.9% and 8.0%, of which lithium-ion batteries account for 90%, 87% respectively, showing a trend of explosive growth.
From the perspective of energy storage technology, lithium battery with low cost and relatively balanced performance will be the mainstream new energy storage technology during the 14th five-year Plan period. At the same time, Electroweb plans to build a new 20GW pumped storage power station. With the arrival of the key node of "scenery + energy storage" parity and the improvement of power system and auxiliary service market, the development prospect of energy storage industry is broad.
