Zangge Lithium Industry has a production capacity of 10,000 tons of Lithium Carbonate in this Salt Lake.

According to the news on the morning of June 10, in response to the call, the General Office of the Qinghai Provincial people's Government quickly issued the "work Plan for the preparation of the Action Plan for the Construction of a World-class Salt Lake Industrial Base." The plan makes it clear that Qinghai will aim to build a world-class salt lake industrial base and cultivate a number of industry leading enterprises through the formulation of unified development, construction, management and standards, and finally form a world-class salt lake resource enrichment area to promote the high-quality development of the salt lake industry.

It is worth mentioning that at the previous nickel-cobalt-lithium summit held by SMM, Minmetals Securities said that Salt Lake has significant resource scale and cost advantages, and its related technology is constantly improving. Therefore, Minmetals Securities predicts that with the increasing global demand for lithium in the future, it is expected that the promise of capacity expansion in Chile and Argentina will be fulfilled in the future, and China's Qinghai will move from marginal to mainstream.

In addition, Everbright Securities also said that although China has become the world's largest and fastest-growing consumer of lithium resources with 54% of lithium consumption, more than 60% of China's lithium salt production needs to be imported and is highly dependent on the outside world. At the same time, overseas geopolitical risks exist for a long time, so the realization of independent and controllable lithium resources is of great significance. Therefore, it is imperative to speed up the construction of a world-class cover industrial base in Qinghai.

And it should be noted that with the increasing popularity of the domestic field of new energy vehicles, the price of lithium is also rising under the background of the shortage of lithium ore. According to the spot quotation of SMM metal, as of June 10, the average spot price of SMM metal lithium reached 620000 yuan / ton, up 135000 yuan / ton or 27.8% from the beginning of the year.

The Northeast Securities Research News predicts that during the three years from 2021 to 2023, the contradiction between supply and demand in the lithium industry will remain prominent, which will support the continued upward rise in lithium prices, and the current raw material supply gap has appeared, lithium ore prices have risen recently, and inventories have continued to decline. The price of lithium is expected to be promising.

In addition, while the extraction of lithium from Qinghai Salt Lake is booming, SMM also decided to go to Qinghai on July 19-23 to conduct an on-the-spot investigation with industry bosses on the production of raw materials enterprises in China's lithium power industry, so as to seek more accurate and in-depth cooperation and create more effective and continuous exchanges.
