Some analysts said that the two-day rise in the Ningde era was mainly affected by good news. On the one hand, the statement released by Ningde Times that sodium-ion batteries will officially meet consumers in July triggered a discussion in the industry about which is better than the other; on the other hand, the news of Tianzhi material and China Nuclear Titanium dioxide released successively on May 27 in conjunction with the strength of Ningde era also allowed the industry to conduct a new round of evaluation of the strength of Ningde era.

In the context of today's carbon-neutral carbon peak, it seems that new energy vehicles have gradually replaced the traditional fuel vehicles. As the core of new energy power battery, the importance of lithium battery is self-evident. According to the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, the total number of power batteries installed in China in April totaled 8.4 GWH, up 134.0% from a year earlier. The number of vehicles loaded with ternary batteries was 5.2 GWH, up 97.3% from the same period last year, while that of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 3.2 GWH, up 244.5% from the same period last year.

SMM predicts that as the new energy market increases in 2021, the demand for lithium batteries in the new energy market is expected to reach 102 GWH, an increase of 60 per cent year-on-year. Under the background of the prosperity of the whole lithium battery, the future of Ningde era is promising.

Nomura Oriental International has commented that as the epidemic is brought under control, the overseas market for new energy vehicles will also develop rapidly or become a new source of growth after 2022. Ningde era will benefit from its battery performance advantages, and its market position in the relevant industry chain will be further highlighted. The company's capacity expansion has continued in recent years, which will also help it to maintain its market position and strong bargaining power. Continue to be optimistic about the development of the company, taking into account the rapid growth of demand for new energy vehicles in the market, respectively raise the company's 2021-2022 performance expectations of about 33-34%, and maintain the overweight rating.

Prior to this, open source securities have also commented that in the first half of 2021, the leading enterprises in all aspects of lithium materials are basically in a state of full production, the certainty of the rapid growth of demand in the whole industry chain is getting stronger and stronger, and the prosperity will be further enhanced in the second half of the year. Specific to each link, lithium iron phosphate cathode, electrolyte link in 2019 to the first half of 2020 has experienced industry reshuffle, concentration significantly increased, leading enterprises deeply bound to lithium power plants, competitiveness continues to strengthen.

Of course, in the context of the growing popularity of the lithium battery industry, the demand for lithium salt is increasing day by day. In addition to recommending to pay attention to battery manufacturers such as Ningde era and Yiwei Lithium Energy, CITIC Securities also said that in the context of tight supply in the lithium industry, although the pace of production expansion of lithium extraction companies in Salt Lake in South America is accelerating, it is still unable to alleviate the current tight supply situation in the lithium industry. The integrated salt lake lithium extraction project is expected to expand its market share due to the advantages of low cost and low emissions, and the domestic salt lake lithium extraction industry will benefit from policy support and the development of lithium price warming will be accelerated. Optimistic that lithium prices continue to rise and companies with integrated layout recommend Ganfeng lithium industry and Shengxin lithium energy, and suggest paying attention to Tianqi lithium industry and Koda manufacturing.

As battery-grade lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide, which are widely used in power batteries, the performance of battery-grade lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide has been equally strong since the beginning of the year. According to the spot quotation of SMM, as of May 31, the average spot price of battery-grade lithium carbonate was 89000 yuan / ton, up 123.9% from last year's low, while the average spot price of battery-grade lithium hydroxide was 90500 yuan / ton, up 88.5% from last year's low.

It is worth mentioning that according to SMM research, although lithium carbonate prices will remain stable in the short term because of excess inventory in the short term, lithium hydroxide, considering that some smelters will carry out annual maintenance in May and June, the output of lithium hydroxide will decline slightly, but the demand side will still rise steadily, so at present, some manufacturers have quoted prices for spot orders in June or increased to 100000 yuan / ton. The performance of lithium hydroxide in the future is still strong, and the carnival of the lithium battery plate is definitely not the end.
