[Yangzhou Jinling Shipyard 7490 ton stainless steel chemical first ship started smoothly] on September 22nd, the 7490-ton stainless steel chemical bow ship built by China Merchants Jinling Dingheng Shipbuilding (Yangzhou Jinling) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yangzhou Jinling) for the domestic shipowner Huizhou Huayi Rongsheng started smoothly.

Liu Jianhua, chairman of Huizhou Huayi Rongsheng, Liu Xiaoang, general manager, Liu Jia, executive director, Li Zedong, deputy general manager, Zhang Xiaoquan, deputy director of the construction department of Jiangsu Branch of China Classification Society, and Chen Yuan, deputy general manager of Jinling, Yangzhou, attended the opening ceremony.

Liu Jia said that after many on-site visits, Huizhou Huayi Rongsheng finally chose Yangzhou Jinling, a professional chemical tanker construction base, to cooperate in the construction of two 7490-ton stainless steel chemical tankers. At the same time, she hopes that in the process of ship construction in the future, shipowners, shipyards, and classification societies will strengthen communication, sincere cooperation, and strict quality control, so as to ensure the timely delivery and delivery of new ships.

Zhang Xiaoquan said that he thanked Jinling of Yangzhou and Huizhou Huayi Rongsheng for their full trust and chose to become a member of the China Classification Society. Jiangsu Branch of China Classification Society will give full play to its technical advantages and do its best to make due contributions to the construction of advanced and high-quality ships.

On behalf of Jinling, Yangzhou, Chen Yuan thanked Huizhou Huayi Rongsheng for the cooperation opportunities and the strong support given by the China Classification Society. At the same time, it said that the 7490-ton stainless steel chemical tanker project will not only lay a solid foundation for Huizhou Huayi Rongsheng to build a century-old enterprise, but will also help consolidate Yangzhou Jinling's position as the world's number one in the market segment of small and medium-sized chemical tankers.

Liu Jianhua and Chen Yuan signed the construction documents on behalf of both sides.

On September 9, 2026, Australia initiated its second sunset review of anti-dumping measures on galvanized steel sheet from India, Malaysia and Vietnam, and separately launched a sunset review of countervailing measures on imports from India. The review covers July 2025-June 2026, with the final report expected by February 11, 2027. As galvanized steel is the largest end-use sector for zinc, the measures directly affect export costs and competitiveness, potentially impacting Australia’s domestic zinc demand and supply chain. Maintaining the duties would provide some protection for domestic steel and coating capacity, while termination could increase low-priced imports and affect regional zinc consumption. The final outcome remains subject to the authorities’ determination.

O projeto de expansão de 300 mil toneladas/ano de cátodos de cobre da JCC Hongyuan Copper, subsidiária da Jiangxi Copper Corporation, entrou na fase de aviso público de pré-aprovação de sua avaliação de impacto ambiental em 4 de setembro, com investimento total de aproximadamente 1,416 bilhão de yuans. O projeto está previsto para iniciar a construção em setembro de 2026 e ser concluído em dezembro de 2027.
