Construction of waste lead treatment project starts in Anhui

The facility will have annual capacity of secondary lead of 200,000 mt

SHANGHAI, Oct 29 (SMM) – Construction of a hazardous waste treatment project, with an annual capacity of secondary lead of 200,000 mt, began in Taihe county of Anhui province on Monday October 29.

Zhejiang Chaowei Power and Anhui Taozhuanghu Waste Disposal are constructing the project, with a total investment of 510 million yuan, SMM learned. 

Construction is scheduled for completion on June 29, 2019. When it enters full operation, the project will produce 100,000 mt of lead alloy and 100,000 mt of secondary refined lead per year, with some 28,000 mt of sulphuric acid as a by-product.

Annual sales of the project is expected at 4,000 million yuan and profits are estimated at 160 million yuan per year, upon commencing full production.
