Spot Discounts Shrink Sharply in East China Aluminum Market, SMM Reports

SHANGHAI, Oct. 11 (SMM) – Spot discounts in east China aluminum market narrowed notably today due to declines in SHFE 1710 aluminum prices and nearing of delivery of SHFE 1710 aluminum.

Trading was down as traders showed low buying interest and downstream producers completed post-holiday restocking.   

Mainstream traded prices were 16,110-16,130 yuan/tonne in Shanghai, discounts of 130-110 yuan/tonne over SHFE 1710 aluminum, versus 16,110-16,130 yuan/tonne in Wuxi and 16,160-16,180 yuan/tonne in Hangzhou.
