SMM attributes the small month-on-month growth to the supply of nickel ore from Indonesia, and the big yearly growth was mainly because China had begun sourcing ores from new suppliers. Moreover, some mines in Zambales, the Philippines resumed ore shipment earlier than the year earlier, also contributing the sharp rise on a yearly basis.
