News on 10 Million-tpy New Aluminum Project in Inner Mongolia Is Exaggerated, SMM Confirms

SHANGHAI, Sep. 2 (SMM) – It was recently reported that the government of Dalad Banner in Inner Mongolia was in talks with Henan Maintain Al. Industrial Corp. over building of 10 million-tpy aluminum project.

However, SMM learned that the report has been exaggerated.

In fact, Henan Maintain Al. Industrial Corp. is just seeking consultancy to ensure raw material supply for its 1 million-tpy aluminum processing project in the future. According to preliminary estimate, the company plans to purchase 1 million tonnes of aluminum annually.
