China Die-Cast Zinc Alloy Prices Rise Jan. 18-22

SHANGHAI, Jan. 25 (SMM) - The average prices of Zamark #3 and Zamark #5 rose 76 yuan to 13,570-13,660 yuan per tonne and 13,880-13,960 yuan per tonne, respectively, last week, SMM reports.

An increasing number of die-cast zinc alloy producers shut down as hardware producers have suspended production. Most die-casters remaining in production are busy with payment collection. Producers in Jiangsu and Zhejiang purchased as needed. Trading will slacken as a large number of producers cease production this week for the Chinese New Year holiday.
