The most active contract drifted higher in the morning due to short covering, but fell back slightly in the afternoon as some shorts entered. Finally, the contract ended up RMB 910/mt or 0.96% at RMB 96,150/mt. Trading volumes were down 5,318 lots to 15,416 lots, and positions were up 228 to 6,638.
