SHANGHAI, Apr. 7 (SMM) – SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices opened at RMB 97,500/mt Tuesday, then surged but plunged after 10:00 AM RMB 96,900/mt, dipping to as low as RMB 95,950/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices fluctuated between RMB 96,100-96,500/mt. Trading volumes increased 15,070 to 75,688 lots, and total positions increased 2,544 to 83,542 lots. SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices are expected to remain stable in the near term.
