BEIJING (Scrap Monster): Major Taiwanese wire rod manufacturer-Feng Hsin has announced its decision to leave the April prices for wire rods, bars unchanged.
According to company press release by Feng Hsin, the base price for SAE 1008 A1-killed steel wire rod for the month of April this year will be kept unchanged at NT$ 18,200 per ton. The company also announced that its actual selling price of these product in the market will be in the range from NT$ 17,200 per ton to NT$ 17,700 per ton. Also, the base price of S45C round bar wire rod for the month will remain at NT$ 18,900 per ton. Meantime, the base price of SCM440 alloy steel wire rod will be cut by NT$ 1,000 per ton. Post cut, the base price will be NT$ 23,500 per ton, stated Feng Hsin.
As per industry sources, other major Taiwanese wire rod producers including Quintain Steel and Yieh Hsing may also keep the prices flat for April.
Meantime, Feng Hsin had decided to hold its rebar and section steel prices unchanged for the week commencing March 30th.
