SHANGHAI, June 30 (CBI China) -- According to latest CBI sources, M5.6 earthquake occurred in Mianzhu County, Sichuan province, at 2 a.m. today. Although an obvious earth tremor was felt in some regions in Sichuan province, several large zinc smelters, such as Sichuan Four-Ring Electrolylic Zinc Company (60kt/yr), Xichang Heli Zinc Industry Company (60kt/yr) and Huidong Lead-Zinc Mine (50kt/yr), said this earthquake had little even no impact on zinc production. All smelters maintained normal operation currently.
