[Minor metal] Weak Demand in Domestic Selenium Dioxide Market

iconJun 16, 2009 00:00

SHANGHAI, June 16 (CBI China) -- Demand was weak in domestic selenium dioxide market, and the price fell slightly. The mainstream traded price of selenium dioxide was around RMB 270/kg.

CBI believes the slight decline in selenium dioxide price was due mainly to increasing supply. Operating rates at domestic refined manganese factories improved due to continuous increases in refined manganese prices, leading to steady increases in demand for selenium dioxide. The future price trend will depend on the changes in market fundamentals.
