SHANGHAI, June 9 (CBI China) -- Although the stronger US dollar dampened commodity markets, LME aluminum performed strong stimulated by rising prices of crude oil and other energy sources, resulting in the rebounding base metal prices and offsetting some pressure caused by rising US dollar. Three-month LME copper closed at USD 4,985/mt, down USD 15/mt. LME inventories declined by 2,125mt, bringing total inventories to 297,850mt. Copper price is mainly affected by macro economy, and the employment data released by the US seems to further prove the recovery of macro economy, so copper price will continue to fluctuate slightly in the short term.
