[Cu] Summary - 2009/4/16 Scrap Copper Market

[Al] Domestic Refined Aluminum Inventory on April 16th

SHANGHAI, Apr. 16 (CBI China) -- North China today 1# bright copper traded at RMB 40,900-41,200/mt, the sales of low-oxygen copper rod were poor, dampening the consumption of scrap copper. However, the scrap copper holders were still reluctant to move goods, so the transactions were in neutral. 
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; East China today 1# bright copper traded at RMB 40,100-40,300/mt, the holders were unwilling to sell, and the downstream producers were wait-and-see, and had low interest in purchase, so the transactions were slim.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; South China today 1# bright copper traded at RMB 40,700-40,900/mt, the traders still lifted the price, while the downstream producers could not accepted the high price. Hence, deals were hard to be made, and the transactions were inactive.
