BHUBANESWAR, India, Sept. 9 -- India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) has issued a tender to export 6,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots, a senior company official said on Wednesday.

The last date for submission of bids is Sept. 14, the official, who is close to the tendering process but could not be named due to company policy, told Reuters.

The metal would be supplied to the buyer in six batches of 1,000 tonnes each from October to March, he said.

NALCO, the tenders of which serve as an international benchmark, last sold aluminium ingots last month at a premium of $95.13 a tonne over the average LME cash price on a cost, insurance and freight basis.
