Kazakhstan Jan-May Aluminum, Copper Output Up, Zinc Down

MOSCOW, Jun 16, 2010 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- Kazakhstan produced 762,666 metric tons of primary aluminum in the first five months of the year, an increase of 7% compared with the same period last year, the state statistics agency said Wednesday.

Zinc output fell 6.1% in the period to 132,037 tons, while copper output increased 5.6% to 140,226 tons.

Gold output was 8.7% higher on the year at 9.13 tons while silver output fell 22.4% to 215,360 tons.
