Brazil's Primary Aluminum Output down 7.5% in 2009

SHANGHAI, Jan. 14 -- The Brazilian Aluminum Association (ABAL) announced on January 13th that Brazil's primary aluminum output fell by 7.5% to 1.54 million mt during 2009, compared with 2008 levels of 1.66 million mt. Brazil's primary aluminum output declined by 7% on a yearly basis to 128,600 mt during December 2009.

Brazil is the world's sixth biggest aluminum producer.
