SHANGHAI, Oct. 30 (SMM) --
Copper Semis:
China's apparent consumption of copper semis was 912kt during September, up 32.99% YoY, with the YTD apparent consumption of 7.23 million mt, up 16.33% YoY. The significant growth in domestic apparent consumption was attributed to marked increases in domestic output of copper semis, which has exceeded 800kt for several months after breaking the 700kt mark in April. In addition, the marked growth in copper semis output also indicates China's copper demand is recovering, in large part due to the Central Government's economic stimulus plans.
