2009 June Cu Apparent Consumption Data Analysis

SHANGHAI, Jul. 24 (SMM) --
Copper Semis:
China's apparent consumption of copper semis was 947.4kt during June, up 22.60% YoY.  YTD apparent consumption was 4.53 million mt, down 8.97% YoY. China's output of copper semis maintained an 8% growth rate during 1H 2009, propelled by increased demand due to the government's RMB 4 trillion stimulus package, as well as China’s home appliance and automobile subsidy programs for rural areas.
