2009 April Zn Output Data Analysis
SHANGHAI, May 22 (SMM) --
Zinc Concentrate:
Domestic output of zinc concentrate was 200kt during April, up 11.9% MoM, but down 18.3% YoY. Cumulative output was 632kt from January to April, down 23.3% YoY. The gradual increases in domestic output of zinc concentrate signal capacity utilization rates at domestic zinc concentrate producers have gradually improved.
Refined Zinc:
Domestic refined zinc output was 335kt during April, down 5kt compared to March. Cumulative output of zinc from January to April was 1.185 million mt, relatively unchanged from the same period last year.
