Central China Aluminum Market Sees Slight Sentiment Rise, Inventory Pressure Limits Buying Interest

Published: Nov 04, 2026 09:59 (GMT+8)
Today, sentiment in the central China market edged up slightly as the price spread between Henan and Shanghai returned to normal, but with SHFE aluminum futures edging down and the off-season approaching, the impending pressure of aluminum ingot inventory buildup kept purchase willingness among downstream processing enterprises at low levels, making a sharp near-term increase unlikely. Ultimately, transaction prices in the central China market were in the range of a discount of 80-100 yuan/mt against the SHFE aluminum November contract.
