[SMM Stainless Steel Flash] Taiwan (PoC) Delays Preliminary Injury Ruling on Vietnamese Stainless CRC to Oct 16

Taiwan (PoC)'s Ministry of Economic Affairs has extended the preliminary industrial injury determination period for the anti-dumping case on certain cold-rolled flat-rolled stainless steel imports from Vietnam, with the new deadline set for October 16, 2026. The extension was granted to accommodate information processing requirements under Articles 12 and 18 of the Regulations Governing the Implementation of the Imposition of Countervailing and Anti-dumping Duties. The original application was filed by Yusco and Tang Eng Iron Works.

[SMM Nickel Market Flash] Lygend Resources Lists on Shenzhen Main Board

September 30 News – Lygend Resources & Technology Co., Ltd. officially listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Main Board today under stock code 001246. The IPO was priced at 21.23 yuan/share, with 172.89 million new shares issued. Lygend’s operations cover nickel resource procurement, trading, production and sales, with both HPAL hydrometallurgical and RKEF pyrometallurgical projects in Indonesia producing nickel-cobalt compounds and ferronickel. Having previously listed in Hong Kong, the Shenzhen debut completes Lygend’s dual A-share and H-share listing structure.

【SMM Nickel Flash】Vale's IGP Morowali HPAL Project Receives Two Autoclaves

On September, Vale Indonesia announced two autoclaves had arrived at its IGP Morowali HPAL project in Central Sulawesi, marking further progress in construction. The project is targeted to start operations by the end of 2026, with initial nickel production capacity of around 60,000 mt/y in MHP. A third autoclave is expected to arrive in late September or early October. Once operational, the project is expected to increase demand for limonite nickel ore in the Morowali area.
