Indian steel major JSW Steel reported consolidated crude steel production of 2.465 million metric tons for August 2026, registering a 3% year-on-year expansion. Operations within India contributed 2.387 million tonnes to this total—a 4% annual increase—with domestic mills operating at a robust 88% average capacity utilization rate. In contrast, output at JSW Steel US Ohio declined by 11% year-on-year to 78,000 metric tons amidst tight North American market conditions.

[ Salzgitter Commissions Major Hot Straightening Machine at Mülheim Plant ]

German steelmaker Salzgitter AG successfully ramped up a new hot straightening machine at its Salzgitter Mannesmann Grobblech facility in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
