Antofagasta Reports 7% Rise in Q3 Copper Production, Maintains Annual Guidance
Chilean miner Antofagasta reported on Thursday that Q3 copper production rose 7% and maintained its annual production guidance, as stronger output in the final months of 2026 is expected to offset the decline in Q1 production. The company produced 151,900 mt of copper in Q3, bringing year-to-date production to 436,900 mt, down 8.3% from the same period in 2025.Q1 production fell 7.6% due to lower grades and recoveries at the Centinela mine, which led the company to lower its 2026 production estimate to 625,000-655,000 mt earlier this year. The previous forecast was 650,000 mt to 700,000 mt.
